WHAT THE F*** IS HIS NAME!?!

in all case purposes, I like the name ‘Seta Souji’. i went on with my merry fandom calling him ‘Souji’ and in most cases he always will be ‘Souji’ to me ♥

HOWEVER

unlike a lot of fan, i’m not totally against the name ‘Narukami Yu’, either. ‘Yu’ means ‘courage’ (or i’m guessing it could also mean ‘higher’ or ‘superior’ but i like the Bushido meaning better). i like to think that his parents named him ‘Yu’ because they believe he would grow up to be a very respectable young man who would do anything to protect those dear to him.

either one doesn’t really matte to me. i love him either way. doesn’t matter what his name is, he’s still ‘Sensei’ (i wouldn’t call him ‘senpai’ since i’m the same age as him XD)

P4 Mom HeadCannons: Souji/Yu’s Mom

Name: Chihiro Seta/Narukami

Age: 43 (D.O.B: July 15, 1968)

Height/Weight: 5’5, 132 lbs.

Blood: O

Appearance:

She is relatively short compared to her son and husband, being the exact same height as Yukiko. She has long silver tinted hair that appears almost white w/gray eyes; I like to think Souji/Yu inherited many of his features from his mother, albeit his hair is darker because his father had jet-black hair. Despite being the older sister of the 40-yr old Dojima her facial features appear quite young, making difficult to guess her true age. Raised from a somewhat wealthy family, her fashion sense is quite ‘proper’ comparing to most of the housewives in Inaba. She used to wear glasses; now she has contacts.

I picture her being rather pale making others see her as slightly frail, so Souji/Yu could have gotten his skin color from his father.

Personality:

She is much like her son (well, her son’s like her), staying calm in the majority of situations. She treats all friends like family and cherishes the bonds of people, something her son picked up from her. Despite being a calm and loving mother she is also rather nosy in her son’s personal life, always teasing him. Nonetheless they share a strong relationship as mother and son and Souji/Yu can always confide to her.

Nonetheless, she has a rather two-faced nature of being a mother. She has never disciplined her son but has raised him well enough to where she doesn’t have to tell him twice to do something. She has a good sense of when something’s wrong with a family member or a friend and will go to bear-like lengths to protect them; she sees everyone (even her own husband) as her ‘cubs’. 

Souji/Yu has a relatively dry and sarcastic sense of humor, something he probably picked up from his father since his mother is rather oblivious to sarcasm.

Background:

She was raised in Inaba, where she grew up with Yukiko’s parents. She went to Yasogami High School, so I can picture the principal (being how old he is) stopping Souji/Yu in the hallways occasionally and telling him amusing stories about when his mother was in high school. (I picture that when Souji/Yu was dressed up for the ‘Miss’ Yasogami Pageant he looked scarily similar to his mother when she went to school.) 

She always wanted to go into fashion designing, so she became an intern her second year of high school at Tatsumi Textiles, when Kanji’s mother just started managing to the store (so I can see Kanji’s mother remembering a little bit about her, since she looks pretty old.)

She’s now in a career of fashion designing.

Marriage:

She has a strong bond of love with her husband. The two are somewhat foils to one another despite them having common personality traits, one of them staying calm in most situations; however whereas her husband is a bit more strict, she is more laid back; a good example of this would be Souji/Yu coming home late or leaving early. Granted, she’s not too fond of this, either, but tries to be more understanding and listen to reason.
